Renewable energy accounts for roughly 16% of the world's total power consumption and is defined as being generated from naturally replenishing resources, such as:

        • sunlight
        • wind
        • geothermal heat

With regards to industry, renewable energy provides a fascinating field for the sale, sourcing and production of cutting-edge technology geared towards efficient energy production. Photovoltaic panels are one of the most widely-utilised and long-standing forms of renewable energy in the world today.

Reutech Solutions' Renewables Division offers energy solutions in the form of various operational solar systems that have been installed at its Midrand premises. These installations include both photovoltaic (PV) panels and concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) tracking systems. PV panelling produces electric current in a flat panel cell during exposure to sunlight. Concentrated PV devices improve efficiency by concentrating the sunlight received by the high efficiency PV cells and accurately tracking the sun.

        • Bringing professional elements into play from its experience in the telecoms industry, Reutech is able to offer renewable energy and reliable business services in the following areas:

          • design, construction, installation, project management, commissioning, and maintenance of small to medium sized grid tied and standalone solar plants.
          • sourcing and supply of solar equipment.
