Access control is the ability to permit or deny the use of a specific resource or area by a particular entity.

The SACO Enterprise Resource Management solution is a modular system that caters for a variety of requirements posed by industry. By combining these features, the possibilities become endless in providing the right solution for our different customers.

Physical access control is a matter of who, where and when. The SACO Enterprise Resource Management solution determines who is allowed to enter or exit, where they are allowed to exit or enter, and when they are allowed to enter or exit.

By making use of state of the art equipment, electronic access control is achieved to solve the limitations of mechanical locks and keys. The SACO Enterprise Access Control module grants access based on the credential presented. When access is granted, the door is unlocked for a predetermined time and the transaction is recorded. When access is refused, the door remains locked and the attempted access is recorded. This is achieved with state of the art devices, such as smartcard readers, biometric fingerprint readers, RFID or a combination thereof.

SACO prides itself on its in-house capacity for locally developed solutions. The total software solution and smartcard reader design and manufacturing are done at its head office in Midrand. All maintenance and support originates from head office, with support offices countrywide.

SACO Systems has integrated the Sagem range of fingerprint biometric devices into its product range, and is one of the Premier Partners in the Ideco distribution channel. Sagem has been the leader in fingerprint biometric methods and algorithms for over 25 years. Today, millions of people are using Sagem readers to gain access to facilities or to manage their productive time.
